Facebook eating memory??
 

I just tried out the Facebook album feature for windows mobile , but as I was viewing the pictures of friends the message came saying phone is out of memory.

How can I delete the files or fix the issue?

By just viewing the photos/albums am I unknowingly downloading the pictures?

Im down to 2mb of storage memory after viewing several albums. Phone is acting very sluggish HELP PLEASE!!

u on the stock rom? the stock rom is horrible for memory... are you using a task manager?

Yes I am using stock rom.... but Im wondering why would just viewing the albums affect memory?

The task manager is not helping me its all empty .

How many apps do you have installed on your main memory? Make sure you are saving your mp3's ..videos and other big files to the storage card. Obviously you have something else that has taken up all your memory.

Don't bother with the built in task manager. It sucks. Instead go here ----> http://www.dotfred.net/TaskMgr.htm and download FDC Task Manager. IMO the BEST TM app for WM. Does reg editing also.

no but that shouldnt be the issue....

If you have facebook, got the HTC Album and then go to the facebook tab. Log in and view photo albums .....watch what happens. Its like its saving the pictures (or something) which it shouldnt.

IDK, I don't use FB. I don't even have an account there. sorry.

Can you use it without logging in?

How much memory do you have right now? Internal storage memory , that is, with FB closed out.

Keep in mind , that im not using the fbook app.

Look on your device memory and see what else you have on there. Do you have Google Maps? Sometimes the cache file for that can get gigantic. I have an 8gb mem card, yet I still have saved some vids and other things on internal memory. I still have 130MB free. The FB pics aren't THAT huge, not for a mobile app.

BTW, you are not confusing storage memory with RAM? This is file storage space you are talking about... and NOT program memory?

theres something installed on ur device that is eating all that up. like the previous posts said.
