Mobile Device Center won't detect phone

Hi,
i've used this forum a lot to dl .cabs but I haven't yet posted. When I plug in my Touch Pro 2 to my computer WMDC usually starts, but recently it hasnt, and manually opening WMDC does not help because it doesn't show that I'm connected to any device.

Has anyone had problems with this? I've followed microsofts directions on troubleshooting but nothing has worked.

I really want to dl the HTC Facebook photo album fix but I can't until this is worked out.

Thanks,

When you connect, what shows up on your phone? It should give you 2-3 choices to select when you connect.

I posted this awhile back:

Yikes! I can't believe I forgot that I disabled the activesync and opted for file transfer. How do I get those options to come up again, or can I access them through my phone? My phone no longer prompts me with this message.

You can re-activate the USB prompt through the connection settings here:

Start>Settings>(All Settings>)Connections>USB to PC

there are radio buttons to pick a default (automatic) action, and a check box if you want the phone to ask you every time you connect to your computer via USB.
