Problem with My Location

I have been using custom roms for a long time and never had a problem with My Location but now I'm getting Washington as my city and I live in Missouri, nowhere close to a Washington. What could be causing my phone to not find my city when it always has in the past? Thanks for any help.

When at my office I have the Airave and it puts me 200 miles away east of Waco and I am in Dallas, TX.

Re: Problem with My Location

Mine is doing the same thing as Dallas Contractors with the Airave, except mine is showing mine as about 100 miles south of me. No amount of "update now" clicks seems to fix it. It's obviously something to do with the Airave and GPS. Once when someone tried to use the family locator on me, I was sitting in the house and it showed me as being 60 miles south.

This is normally caused by the Airave. If you don't have one, its possible that someone within 100 feet of you has one. It's quite frustrating, because my phone thinks I'm back home in Houston when I'm sitting in College Station!

The Airave actually covers 5000sqft roughly...so there is a good chance your picking up the signal from it. Have you tried driving or walking to another place in town to see if it changes? That is the best way to figure it out... Once I leave my apartment and drive down the street my phone disconnects from my airave and my weather location switches from Artondale, WA to Federal Way, WA.
