Home Screen Mods Question

I kind of miss the "Call History" bar and Calendar schedule that used to fill my 6.1 Homescreen.....I really don't need the "quick Links" at all.... Does anyone know how to:
Eliminate the Quick Links altogether (not just leave the "clear" boxes but remove them completely?
Add the CALL HISTORY Bar back?
Have the CALENDAR schedule (at least the current day) on the screen?

thanks.....

Re: Home Screen Mods Question

I miss the 6.1 Today screen w/ the calendar and call history, but I wouldn't get rid of the Quicklinks and want to go back to using that weird Programs matrix where as far as I have found so far (but haven't googled yet) you can't remove programs from the list. I miss not having to look at Nascar and NFL Mobile, Sprint Music, blah blah blah

Re: Home Screen Mods Question

if u have MM.. u have to swipe it down on the home screen and choose ST for notification and choose Y for calendar and call history... it will take out all the shortcuts and put those two bar in ur home screen!

Re: Home Screen Mods Question

I as well would like to lose the "quick link". I like a clean screen, with the "quick link" the Home Screen looks cluttered. The wallpaper is hardly noticeable. I have done a few things to clean the screen up but I need a GOOD cab to remove it.

Im not sure about removing it completely but you can install co0kies home tab mod.
-if you dont want any additional quicklinks use the CHTeditor to set it back to 3x3 with one page of quicklinks
-choose "hide empty shortcuts"
-dont set anything on the top row of quicklinks.. (alternately you can just swipe downward on the quicklinks and it will hide the quicklinks)
-just swipe up when you want to use the quicklinks

this will not only hide the quick links, but will also show your upcoming appointments and call history

Get Co0kies Home Tab Mod here

Get CHTeditor here

be sure to disable sense before installing the mod

hope this helps!

well this is great news, I had absolutely no interest in 2.5 because of the loss of calendar on the home/today screen. Glad to see its still an option!

Re: Home Screen Mods Question

I installed Co0kies Hometab and it looks great but I did experience some speed loss, which wasn't worth it to me. I have since removed it and am looking to make 2 mods to the home screen. I am guessing these are simple registry edits but have no idea where to look.

1) Date tab currently opens a "set date" calendar box when pressed. I would really like this to open my HTC calendar in month or week view.

2) Single appointment listing opens HTC calendar in agenda view, would love to modify this to open the specific appointment or the day view.

Any suggestions? I am using CERegEditor for access.

Re: Home Screen Mods Question

I have max manila 2.5 installed and you can turn on/off the calendar and call history.

ALSO there's a few tweaks in this thread for home screen mods that i ran across.. (along with a pic of my home screen.. I lost the file so I can't attach it here)

link: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=115013

the home screen mods can get rid of your quick links.. the background squares etc. .and max manila doesn't slow down your phone.

I hope this helps

Re: Home Screen Mods Question

Yes, I to experienced speed loss and my Home Screen when to the color of black and won't allow me to change the wallpaper. Finally, the black wallpaper is not covering on the entire screen, it starts just under top curtain area. I'm going to keep the install and just figure out how to fix the problems because I love the look....Thanks Again
