Mail Settings in 6.5

Is there anyway to improve the mail settings in 6.5?? I liked with 6.1 where I could specify how much of the email to download and whether not to download attachments. Keep messages on the server or delete them. With 6.5 the only option I seem to be able to control is how often it checks for messages. I would love more control, is there a cab or registry setting to bring back full functionality to the email again. Thanks for your help.

Please look at this thread. All the abilities are still available on 6.5.

I'm an idiot, I never tried to scroll down after selecting menu. Never saw the tools option until then, thanks for showing me the light sjs01.
