wifi calling

is it possible to that on the touch pro 2? Let's say you have no service/signal is there any possible method towards making phones through wifi?

Skype is in fact what I use, and it works relatively well. You get an occasional quality drop, but overall the phone is up to the task...note that Skype needs to be the ONLY app running when you do this. I tried this first on my old Tilt, which was hopeless, then on a Touch Pro which was troublesome but baseline functional. The TP2 is the first phone I've had that seems to handle it reasonably well (and yes, I know the hardware on the TP1 and TP2 is nearly the same, I have no answer as to why the TP2 does a better job).

Haven't tried Google voice, so I have no idea how that would work.

google voice isnt a viop service, it wouldnt help the OP
