Stop ringtone from coming through headphones?

is there any way to stop my ringtone from coming full blast through my headphones when they are plugged in? i listen to music alot on my phone and everytime i recieve a call i have to pull my headphones out due to the ringtone coming through the headphone full blast. so i was wondering is there anyway to stop this from happening?

u can turn your ringer on silent but turn system volume up seperately. but text notifiers or vm will still come through so i would set them as a short quieter tone. dont know if that helps at all.

I agree with this one too, there should be an option. If I have my bluetooth headset paired and powered, I have to make sure the phone is in vibrate mode, or wear my headset constantly. I like to remove the headset while not on the phone, but I don't hear it ring since it is not in my ear. A setting to choose where to send rings would be nice.
