Weather confusion in WM6.5

I have noticed that the native weather app in 6.5 is sometimes confused. At 11:00pm I have noticed a full sun and at 9:00am I have noticed the moon. Updating is set for 'every 3 hours' and my location is set appropriately. I do have the weather app set for 'My location' rather than the city where I reside. Anybody know what gives?

Try updating more often and see what happens. I have mine set on 1 hr and only noticed this once in the morning and it quickly went away.

Re: Weather confusion in WM6.5

yeah, if you just update it it will usually catch up, but it seems to have different ideas of sun/moon than actual sunrise/sunset

I installed the 1 hr update cab and am happy with it

side note, sometimes the temp on the home screen doesn't match the weather tab, wtf!

Why are there 2 screens in the weather tab for my city that don't always agree?

Re: Weather confusion in WM6.5

Make sure it's correct. Sometimes when I travel to Syracuse, Utah - it gives me the weather of Syracuse, NEW YORK. Big difference.

cause one is probably your "my location" by current GPS, and the other is your home city that you've added.

Re: Weather confusion in WM6.5

I noticed similar errors. I was running the 3/23/2010 version of MightyROM (WM6.5) and the weather on the home screen didn't update as frequently as the one on the weather tab. But when I'd go to the weather tab and update it, it would automatically update the home screen weather. I got over it pretty quickly, but I did wonder why it was off there for a bit.

Ahh... 'My Location' is based on GPS. So does that mean that if I do not plug in a city I will still get weather based on my current location? Or does there need to be at least one city plugged in?

It is definitely the simple things that get me all confused
