Switching from Mightys WAR to Sprint 6.5 ROM

Do I need to do anything special to do this? Relock perhaps? Will it relock the phone after running the Sprint ROM update?

Re: Switching from Mightys WAR to Sprint 6.5 ROM

I would suggest that you read other's comments about the Sprint 6.5 ROM and think long and hard. Not many people are happy with it. They say it kills the battery quick and has a lot of bloatware in it.

I would recommend flashing to MIghtyROM's latest build instead.
Just my 2 cents.

Re: Switching from Mightys WAR to Sprint 6.5 ROM

I have.

I flashed my wifes new TP2 over to it before giving it to her. It seems fine. I like the Sprint TV, Sprint Telenav, and Marketplace (bloatware). I did have to install a tsowens taskbar, and also add a taskmanager cab. Why would they leave out the taskmanager? DUH.

Everything else seems pretty solid for us. It feels quicker to me. The weather isn't quite right though. Half the time it reads Michigan, the other half will tell her where current location is. Which arguably is Michigan...but...

I asked what's new with the newest release versus WAR, but didn't get a response. I see people who aren't happy with it as well.

War was dissolved into MightyROM's official release. If you notice, he only has 1 project on his site now and that is Impact.

If you are looking to go to Sprint Stock 6.5, I suggest Chris1683's Sprint Lovers ROM 2.5 3.30.10. He has the menus organized and pretty good speed increases over the Stock ROM itself. I'm not sure why people are having issues with the battery on Sprint 6.5. Personally, I haven't seen and issue and can say the battery life is the same or a little bit better than 6.1. Hope this helps.

Re: Switching from Mightys WAR to Sprint 6.5 ROM

I knew MR WAR was dissolved, but I never really read what happened to it. I mean LOVE is gone too right? Sounds like the new release is really a continuation of WAR but is now official.

I'll load that and give it a whirl.

Thanks.

I'm on Windows 7 so I use Windows Mobile Device Center. Works great for me.
