Can't increase MMS send/recieve on Energy rom

I'm on energys rom and I tried to increase the send/receive limit from 300kbs first to 7mbs and when that didnt work to 1mb with regedits but got no increase. Is there some way to get it to be larger? 300kb just doesn't cut it.
