Bing asking for update "loop"

1 Attachment(s)
Bing V 5.0.11249.0 is asking for an update on my TP2, I download the update, install it; then it will ask me to update again.

Anyone else seeing this?

Attached is the one that downloaded.

You are not alone!! I am also running the latest Bing version 5.0.11249.0 on the Sprint 6.5 Stock ROM and experiencing the update loop. Not really sure how to go about fixing this until an update to this build is released maybe??

Same thing happening here. TP2 with new official 6.5 ROM.

Same thing happening here.

I suspect that Bing wants us to upgrade to the high-res version described on this page. However, Opera 10 is apparently not configured properly to get the high-res version, and instead simply downloads the same lower-res version again.

Obviously, Microsoft was very foolish to rely on the browser instead of bringing us directly to the correct download.

Finally a FIX!!!

I am not sure when this was posted by Microsoft but I can confirm that this is indeed an update to version 5.0.11249.0 which had the update loop on Windows Mobile 6.5.....I personally noticed this when I updated my Sprint TP2 from 6.1 to 6.5 back on 3/19/10. Once you have installed this update Bing should be updated to version 5.1.2010.3290 and you should no longer experience the update loop! It also appears to fully support WVGA now! :D If this helps you out please thank me!! :D

If you don't want to download my attachment you can simply download the update from the link Bing uses to open Opera as the updated file is now on Microsoft's servers.

Or you could just download the officially released version from Microsoft as my post states............you can download my attachment or straight from the update available link from within Bing........glad you found a working version before Microsoft released a fix.
