Sprint TP2 with Rogers sim? Wont work! HALP

Hey guys, so I will be in Canada for the next 2 weeks so a friend lent me his Rogers sim for the bit I will be here. So far the Rogers sim will not work, it connects me with a bell recording which pretty much says go screw yourself.
I was under the impression that a Sprint TP2 should be unlocked and usable with any international network?

I reread your post.....did you change your settings to GSM only under phone?

do that and see whatcha get, phuk that Global isht.Just str8 up GSM, set your network manually

it still isnt working. Any ideas?

What error u getting exactly, I know u said you care getting sometype of recording, could it be the SIM card that is problematic/locked! did u try another SIM?

did you pay to unlock your sim card port in your phone? sprint won't allow you to use a u.s sim. which im sure that one works in u.s as well.
