How-To switch Outlook profiles?

I had to create a new Outlook profile, and now can't figure out how to get my TP2 running the latest VZW 6.5 rom to sync to it.

Does anybody have a clue I can borrow? I'll return it as I clearly can't be trusted with it...

If you haven't figured it out already... Open Activesync go to server settings and delete your sync relationship and re-add it with your new profile.

Re: How-To switch Outlook profiles?

Thanks.

I'll try that.

What's really special is how the new profile deleted all my contacts...

Re: How-To switch Outlook profiles?

Are you running off an Echange server or as a email stand-alone client? I assume it's stand alone. If so, you might be able to go and open the old .ost or .pst file and export the contacts to a .pst file, then import or copy them to the new .ost or .pst file the new profile created for you. You can see where the files are by right clicking on the Outlook data category of interest and selecting properties from the menu.

Re: How-To switch Outlook profiles?

Nope. Just pop accounts. Too many of 'em, really.

My contacts are in the deleted items folder. I'd left the house though before I realized they were gone. I started restoring them, but the "move to folder" was taking long than the time I had alloted. Calendar too.

What's weird, though, is if it wasn't syncing to the new profile, how did it decide to delete them all?

Whatever, it's Windows. At least it wasn't like the old iTunes that would empty your iPod if you connected it to a different computer and leave it unrecoverable.

Thanks.

Re: How-To switch Outlook profiles?

Cool. Glad you got them back. I've had a similar problem with notes except it happened when I sync'd the PPC.
