htc chat vs wm chat?
 

Hey guys so I just upgraded to neodium wm6.5 sense 2.5 from sense 2.1 and it seems like a whole new ballpark so I apologize for my newby question everything I've tried to change it has not worked and I have begun to question what I believe is true.

When I click the sms to reply the Send button is on the right side. Is this "htc sms"?

When I click to create a new msg the send button is a soft key on the bottom left. Is this wm sms?

If all that is true I like the send button on the bottom when i reply since I have Xt9 on and the send button is covered and have tried enabling wm and disabling htc from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=622520
as well as CMYLXGOs sms app disable to no avail. What else should I try?


What am I doing wrong or is that not even possible? iirc all I did before the new flash was use cmylxgo....:scratch:

Is it still a "squared in box" and is the send button square, when you're in "HTC text?" Sounds like you're talking about the HTC SKIN of WinMo's standard text. Sense 2.5 texting is completely integrated and I believe you can never access the standard WinMo texting screens.

lets see...

when i click reply its the white square in the middle of the screen
when i do anything else it is the black soft key at the bottom

when i did the fix before, the send key would always be at the bottom left

doesn't anyone know? it seems like a easy answer for experienced users.

It's WinMo with an HTC theme when you access texting via Sense. When you access texts via other programs, it goes straight to the unthemed WinMo text screen.

Palingro .. all in one chat. Works great.

Nimbuzz. Got all and even skype. But notification is limited.

I personally find both sms applications to be extremely faulty and always have. I have personally tested more sms apps that I care to remember and have to say that I have yet to find anything that can even hope to compare to the user friendly and well designed Vito SMS-Chat. There's just flat out no competition out there for it what so ever in my opinion. There are even registry mods out to have sms-chat stand in as your devices default sms programing even for HTC Sence UI..........if you'll give me a minute I will be more than happy to share links for both the download and registry settings for anyone who may be interested. Idunno. That's my two cents I guess. It's just that I have been scrolling through this forum for a few minutes and it seems like every three threads or so there's another one complaining about the crappy choices once thought to be our only options. Well there ya go. Take it or leave it I guess. Hope this helps someone out.
