Only Using Wifi Internationally - Sprint HTC TP2
I will be traveling to the UK & Spain and I have the HTC TP2 on Sprint with MightyROM. So my question is if I just wanted to use free wifi over there exclusively whether on the train/hotel etc for free and didn't want to incur any sort of random roaming charges or whatever - is there a way to actually do that? Can I just activate the Wifi setting but will it randomly try to roam over there by itself still? Is there any way to shut off any type of roaming/voice features? How would I go about doing this? I called Sprint but they don't seem to know what they're talking about.

Re: Only Using Wifi Internationally - Sprint HTC TP2
take out the junk Sprint SIM card to make sure it doesn't try to roam and you are good.
No CDMA available over there so that radio won't find any signal |

If you wnat to use the hone locally over in the UK, buy a pre-pay sim card from Asda (wallmart) or from a newsagent (news stand store) for cheap local calls/text and you can also buy local data bundles too if you wanted.

Re: Only Using Wifi Internationally - Sprint HTC TP2
I was in Spain a couple weeks ago and I just put my phone in CDMA only mode and then there was no chance of it picking up a network. I used Skype over wifi to call back to the US and it worked great!:)
