Orb TV Streaming performance on TP2
 

Hey Guys!

Has anyone found a trick to get Orb to stream smoothly on a TP2?

I had it working nicely on the TP1 after using IE Switcher to use PIE and pulling the streams up that way.

On my TP2 I'm not having such luck.

KinomaPlay seems to work very nicely for streaming video but doesn't support live TV yet.

Any other ideas out there?

I use CorePlayer and set up Orb to stream the video in the winamp .pls format. After Coreplayer buffers it provides a smooth enjoyable playback.

Which version of Core player are you using? I tried using it on my Stock Sprint ROM and it installed but crashed everytime I tried to open it.

I tried this, and it just clocked on coreplayer, never played anything!

Same here too. It looks like it's going to open the video... shows the buffering animation, then just stops.

For TV viewing, orb can't beat slingbox in my experience. (Have both btw).

I don't have the cash to blow on a Slingbox, and the TP1 performed nicely for TV.

Why did it get worse on the TP2? I can only imagine that it's a user agent issue or something like that.
