MSL Issues if anyone has some other idea

I bought a sprint Touch Pro 2 off ebay, and its been a bit of a nightmare trying to set up. Im trying to prepare it to work on Metro Pcs.
Ive solved some of the issues, but now Im stuck again.
I cant seem to get the MSL for this phone.
I tried Get SPC, and that code it gave me didnt work.
I tried MSL Grabber, and that thing just errors. (I do have .net 3.5 installed)
I tried to download cdma workshop 3.5 demo, but im not having luck their either. It keeps telling me lock code is 0000, which is not correct.
So Im not to sure whats left to try. Im still googling and forum searching for a solution.
If anyone has an idea on another method I should try please let me know.

If you have a modded phone chances are the last owner may have changed the MSL to a generic code. Did you try 000000 ? MSL are usually 6 digits not 4 as you posted.

*edit* someone beat me to the punch leave this here cause yeah...

found this over here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=89637
see what I googled to find this click the tinyurl http://tinyurl.com/ybhrra6

worked for me it's great, not as nice as a CABbed up nice easy app but It's not so hard

the instructions call for a reg editor if you don't have one Total commander (what I used) has a RegEditor plugin. Install Total commander and on the root of your phone storage go to //plugins and you can navigate your registry like a file system. I attached the cab I just grabbed or you can get it from http://www.ghisler.com/pocketpc.htm

If you have a Sprint Touch Pro2 this is the only way to get your MSL other then to call sprint.
1. You need a Reg edit tool like PHM RegEdit or resco registy editor.
2. Go to HKLM\Software\HTC\ATDbgLog
3. Edit item called "Enable" and change from "0" to "1" (leave out quotes.) Save changes.
4. Exit PHM RegEdit or resco registy editor.
5. Shutdown/turnoff device.
6. Turn back on.
7. Once turned on leave running for 1 minute or longer (a log files is being created durring this time in the "\Atlog" folder.)
8. After 1 min go back into registry and set value back to "0". Make sure to save changes and exit PHM RegEdit or resco registy editor.
9. Shutdown device again and turn back on.
10. Varify that the Registry value is still set to "0", if not then repeat above steps and wait 1 min before shutting down the second time in step 9.
11. Now you should open Explorer and go to the folder "\Atlog" in the root directory of your device.
12. You shoould see a file called "ATDbg0" (the "0" may be another number like 1), if your using another file browser you may see the full file name include the "xtx" extention. This file is a text file and can be opened in Word mobile.
13. open the file and use the find feature to locate "RMSL", you should soon find a line item that includes a 6 digit number, this is your MSL code.

I tried it on mine and confirm it works without a problem. I used soft reset method holding down power and it worked fine. If you find this helpful feel free to thank me.

Thanks Earmuffs for the legwork you did, but I already used the Registry method, and it went off perfectly.

Thanks to everyone else for their input.
Im now set up to have a store flash this thing over for me.
