Cant connect CDMA workshop

Im guessing this is because there is no virtual com port for this TP2 device.
Im able to hook up with activesync with no issues.
Im trying to get this thing ready to flash over to metro, but im stuck here.

Ive also tried the codes I read about
##3424# or ##778#, and all they do is start dialing that phone number.
Ive tried 2 different usb cables, but I dont think the cable has anything to do with this since activesync works fine.

Can anyone help me out with an idea on this?

##3424 then send or talk ##3424# is only for sprint phones I believe. IF that doesn't work then my guess is you don't have the stock dialer that supports ## codes. I can use cdma workshop with no issues.

Re: Cant connect CDMA workshop

sorry I didnt updazte this thread before bed last night. I just updated a similar thread on another site, I'll do a little copy and paste here to update. My phone is a Sprint model. Purchased it from ebay.

ok so I solved part of this thing. Took a while, but I found some info.
I had to download a program called nopen and install it on the phone, and then I needed this diagnostic program I found I think it was on ppc geeks.
Ran the nopen prgram once installed, I ran the program.
IN the file line I put \windows\DmRouter.exe and in the command linehttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/2_bing.gif I put
/DIAG then it did its thing. Plugged it back up to the pc, and found new hardware came up. Installed the driver, and now Im finally on to next step.
SIGHHHH that only took more hours than I care to admit lol.

So now heres the kick in the pants part.
The codeshttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/2_bing.gif still dont work. the only way I get the phone to get recognized by the pc is by doing what I said above.
I open cdmahttp://images.intellitxt.com/ast/adTypes/2_bing.gif workshop it says my lock code is 0's.
I try to run qpst, and see if I can do some work in there, and when It asks for the code it doesnt work.
So at this point its rather late, but it doesnt seem like i can change the msl or use the codes to punch in on the phone and load a PRL.

One thing to note I notice when I try to punch in the codes on the phone it tries to just make calls instead and I get taken to verizon wireless. This is a Sprint phone??? Does that mean the guy I bought it from screwed around with the programing on this thing?

Re: Cant connect CDMA workshop

just load a sprint prl from epst if cdmaworkshop wont work. And yes if it goes to verizon then you have a verizon prl

Re: Cant connect CDMA workshop

little update: Ive for the heck of it tried flashing a rom on this thing.
worked no issues. I installed this juicy rom.
anyway, I got #778 and enter to work. Anyway when I got into this thing, I clicked edit, and it then asked me for unlock code. tried 000000, and 0000, but both failed.
I cant seem to get ##3424 or ##3424# to do anything though

Re: Cant connect CDMA workshop

I said ##778 then send. Also you will need something like msl grabber to get you 6 digit msl code

Re: Cant connect CDMA workshop

thanks for your reply, much appreciated. I installed the MSL grabber, but unfortunately it errors out and cant seem to do the job.
No matter what though I have to figure out a way to change the code so the phone can be flahsed to my network.

UPDATE: I flashed another rom. It was called an energy rom.
##3424 now is working!!

ok so now I gotta just need to get this code changed, and I should be home free.
This is a lot of work lol

UPDATE #2
Having the worse time trying to edit MSL.
I cant seem to pull the current or anything.
Im still searching for a way currently
