port problem after unlock and flash

I went down to sprint to have numbers ported from a verizon account. All went well on my unmodified pixi. My touch pro 2 could not be ported due to the rep not being to enter the programing menu. I was given instructions to complete the port if I could acess the menu somehow. So to my question is... If I reflash the stock rom and relock the spl will this resolve my problem.. And afterword would I be able to re unlock the spl and reflash my rom. Thanks in advance... I miss my phone already.

Re: port problem after unlock and flash

i am wondering if the rep just didnt program ur phone. the port mite have gone through but ur tp2 just isnt programmed. i would call customer care and ask for ur programming. from the dialer should be ##NNNNNN# (N being a placeholder for the unlock code) then if correct will pull up a screen that says edit, view, and done when edit is clicked screen asking for mdn (ur verizon ph number) and msid (the phone number ur phone actually secretly uses). put them in and click done. if done prperly device should reset. they should be able to provide u with this info. if it doesnt work view sticky for locking and unlocking. stock rom should auto relock as far as i know and then u can unlock and flash later. but i repeat myself...the rom should not matter. if u have further issues pm me and i will help u out when im at work.

Here is an update on the situation. I found a stock rom flashed it and I could access the programming menu as described above. Phone now works flawlessly. This leads me to a new question...

Is there anyway to implement the Sprint programming menu into a rom via cab file perhaps? It seemes unless the rom has sprints software there is no way to bring up their programming menu. (makes sense)

Glad you are up and running. That is a good question. If you can find it in the stock rom i would guess you could copy it into any custom rom but u would have to ask someone who specializes in writing roms. :)
