My opera browser works, but when i open it, the screen says "illegal url." Has anyone else had this problem

Which version are you using? Can you get any site to open? If so, maybe just your "home" or default url is invalid.

9.5 i believe. my home url is google. it was working fine before i updated to 6.5

no. when i first open opera, it says error invalid url. it used to go straight to google. i have to hit the homepage tab to get to google now

had that happen a cpl times i uninstalled and upgraded to 10 beta. i like it way better. i would check to make sure ur data is connected and do a softreset. if it doesnt work still...upgrade.

Are you clicking a hotlink to open it up? If not, why not just open it that way and let it go. I wouldn't imagine the upgrade to 6.5 would cause that but who knows.

when i opera 10, it goes to file://localhost/home instead of just goin to the homepage

is it set for google .com or google.com .. notice the space between the e & . ...... if ya got it like that it comes up invalid, not illegal but i uckfed up once & did that .. just thought id share . .

wat phone and carrier do u hav? and u have to user define homepage or it goes to the preset default. check options and settings.
