Change rom and wmdc sync issue

I am trying to update my rom to energy and when I get to the point where it starts to d/l (where it will go from 0-100%) wmdc (Im on vista) or active sync as previously called-drops the connection very time. Help!

Is your device unlocked? If so, and you still have issues, try forcing to bootloader (rainbow screen) and flash from bootloader.

Yes, it is unlocked. I have had many custom roms before. I can get to bootloader screen or at least when it fails it goes into bootloader screen but what then? It also cant compete a sync on my old rom (Dave Morely) Thanks Indie!

When in bootloader, just plug in usb, and flash.

ANyone? I am stuck here and tried four times. Started at this at 9am and no further on.

I am in bootloader right now. I unplugged the usb and reinserted it and still rainbow screen. What am I doing wrong? The rom says exit and is off now so I dont understand what I can do in bootloader mode?
