Where do I start?

So I've had 2 WM phones now, a ATT tilt and now a fuze, aka touch pro 2.

I am getting very frustrated with this phone as it is very slow, glitchy and a PITA to use.

I am using the latest ROM from HTC's website. I am not 100% sure where to start on making this phone better, because I've heard they can be a lot better with different ROM's and stuff..
Running WM 6.5

Few things that annoy the crap out of me:
-when I open the keyboard, the screen takes a good 2 seconds to rotate.
-when I'm browsing the web (I use opera mainly, I have tried skyfire but it kept crashing) the zoom feature is very glitchy, sometimes it will re-size text to the screen, other times it won't.
-If I'm looking at a photo I took on the phone and tilt the phone sideways to look at it, the image turns. I have no clue how to turn this feature off.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I feel like I had a lot more luck with my TILT, up until the point where it was submerged in rubbing alcohol...

Re: Where do I start?

First try looking in the GSM section of this forum. I myself cannot provide help because I am on a CDMA carrier. My advice though would be to check out the GSM portion though. Hope you find what you need.

i've heard that 6.5 is slower than 6.1. you'll probably have to go the custom rom route since i haven't seen a cleanup cab for 6.5 yet.
