Maybe you guys can help me out?

My fiance gotta tp2 as I do. I got mine about 6 weeks ago and she got hers today. What's strange though is when I installed the stealth tethering cab in the stickies, I was able to tether fine, and still can. But when I installed the same cab to her phone, it won't let me connect. It gives me an error 67 and something about invalid username & password. Can you guys tell me what I'm doing wrong?

try updating the profile on her phone.

just tried it out and that didn't work, it still gives me the same error. thanks though.

any other suggestions i may try?

Hard reset it? If she just got it it shouldn't be that big of a deal to reconfigure the settings and such. Just make sure to backup contacts!

Does she get any data at all? I got error 67 before and it was due to my phone being programed wrong. I'd program it again.

or if you do hard reset, do a master reset. Open the phone dialer, hit ##786#, then menu, then reset. Enter the MSL and hit ok. If you don't know your MSL run the cab supplied.

Why the master reset out of curiosity? if it were me I'd see if it worked after a hard reset.

HTCotta, I'm gonna try to hard reset it and see how it works...you're right, not much on her phone at all. Appreciate it!

Mulhiny: yeah she has data going through opera, so I don't think its a data issue

I may be wrong, but a master reset will initiate an over the air activation. If you call Sprint tech support this is how they would have you do a hard reset, not via clear storage.

Could It Be the Rom Difference? Idk what im saying but, Like isnt she still on Stock rom and your on another rom? Prob this wouldnt even Matter. Cause some apps didnt work on my phone until i updated to these custom roms. Its worth A try i think. =P

found a solution fellas...
on my phone i can just open up the isc program and tether immediately.
not sure why, but on my girls phone i have to open up a data connection first in order for it to allow sharing.

I am still curious though why the difference in the basically the same phone (same rom as well)?
