Re: should I upgrade from 6.1 to 6.5?

I think you should, except I am not positive about the tethering with the newest radios with the newest stock roms out? at the time I think there was something that dinged the tethering on your bills. that was a while back and is why I was on here TODAY, searching to see if I can setup tethering without getting billed to death now. It might been leaked roms only. so search carefully.

1 thing I hate (but you can get used to it/work around it):

1> Contacts list, it is changed, the default is now the version built into newer touch flo (refered to as Sense UI2.0 I think). So again you can get around this by mapping the button just above the phone key, to point to the old contacts version...

I have 200+ contacts, all grouped by "company" with Outlook syncing so same contacts I use for "work". now of cours "company" is just the heading, I put friends in the friends company, work in the work company, support in support company, Im in IT and I am the supervisor... so when I get called and I'm not at the desk or near one, I have to call someone else, it is nice to have people sorted by company then last names...

so maybe now you see what I liked about the old address book, most apparently dont care, I think they must only have about 4 to 40 friends LOL... (j/k)

2> New settings, or at least ways to get to many of them, BTW all this is FINE still easy to use, and you just got to get used to it, but for EXAMPLE, bluetooth has more screens when using and enabling and disabling is a couple more steps now (stock) I think I saw a app that you can run, I havent yet because it is no big deal. Same with turning on or off Wifi... there are more settings in many that needed more changable settings to so the bonus is worth learning the diffs...

Some people dont like change, sometimes "people" referes to me some times it dont, just sayin.

PS
Im on verizon, sprint should be similiar.

I have the new 6.5 Verizon and tether all the time and have never had a prob with my bill.

On that note. I would stay with 6.1
I came online to find it and put 6.1 back in.
6.5 is buggy to hell. I have run it for over 2 weeks and love all the new
bells and whistles but not worth the bugs. I hate hate HATE the 6.5 bugs
I will kick back and see if they fix it first. Verizon took the option off there site where you could order the TP2 w/6.5 pre-installed. That in its self should
make you think.

Most likely you will. But you can add it as a quick link on the home tab. I don't miss it at all. I thought I would but with sooo many new features you won't even notice they are not there!

Upgrade, upgrade, upgrade!!!

Re: should I upgrade from 6.1 to 6.5?

Please do it immediately!!!!

personally i think 6.5 is a bajillion times better than 6.1 (yes i'm aware that isn't a real number)

if you back up your contacts and everything else you want you can try it out an switch back whenever u want.
