Any Reg edit to remove "verizon wireless"?

I know this has been discussed before but I've still not found a solution to removing the upper left side "verizon wireless". There are numerous cabs floating around that say they work, but they only seem to get rid of the logo in the upper right. This in itself is great and I appreciate the cab constructors for it. I just switched from my imagio back to my tp2 for my work week and prior to calling in to verizons *228 to make the neccessary switch I loaded a clean home screen cab and lo and behold, the "verizon wireless" was missing. Obviously because the phone was not activated yet, but what a clean, polished look it was.
Does anybody know of a reg edit or maybe what registry file to look in to erase this? TIA for any input.

Obviously don't know exactly what you've tried, and what you haven't. You've tried this one?

Yeah, the thing I didn't like about it was the flashing/blinking back and forth as it would ping off the towers. It was fine, but for that annoying issue. I know someone must know the reg edit to permanently disable it.
