sms exclamation error maybe ?

why on some text messages i get an exclamation mark in red to the side of the message?

doesn't happen to every person i text mainly just this one ?

im currently running energy rom leo 2-4

but this happend before when i was on mighty rom

sms priority ... but i dont notice whats so special about it. maybe someone else knows .. i do know even if i erase a contact it comes back when i re add that contact lol. i click to make the person normal & not high priority but the exclamation point never goes away

I believe it's their priority settings. i remember in my older phones you could go in through the sms, and in the same spot you set your signature, you could set the priority of the text, sometimes it was done individually. I think it has to do with the senders end, not the receiver.

from what the other people in the forum say its the sender telling you to read their messages and stop being a dead beat dad and watch your kids. but maybe im reading too far into what they are saying

wait so the person sending me the text is the reason there is a red exclamation point ? now u have me thinking if ur right because the 3 known ppl i cant get this with all use boost .... i just looked through my girls stone age i465 because she is one of the ppl & there is no setting i find to make it not a priority ... if i choose the option in my phone to make it normal it goes rite back.

Boost seems to do that. I had a few friends with it, and it seemed to be automatic.
