I have the exact same issue. I hate that it's happening to you guys too but I admit I'm glad I am not the only one.

same thing with me, notification for everything works fine but the email!

i dont normally post things i havent tried, but i found this. it was for the same problem, but with the bell version of the tp. wanna try it?

funny! I was about to download and install it, but an email notification just went off!!!!!
what I did is I made sure to check the box that says "Programs" AND "Notifications (alarms, reminders)"
which I did not have it checked before!

So, I've narrowed it down to what the problem is. If I go to the mail tab and click "send and receive" and I get a new e-mail, the sound will go off, the phone will vibrate, and the bubble will pop-However, if the e-mail comes in byitself (I have my hotmail account setup to check every 15 minutes), there will be no notification other then a blinking light. It doesn't matter if the screen is off or on. Weird...

Eureka! In order to solve this problem go to gudensoft.com and download e-mail scheduler. Use that to have the TP2 to download new e-mails (I have it set to 5 minutes) and then go the windows live app and set the interval to manual. All of the notifications work now!!!!

I have never had issues with windows live email.
Only folder that triggers email notifications is the inbox. So if you get new emails to junk mail or a folder other than inbox, it won't trigger the email notification (outlook works the same way).
I have windows live set to notify when email arrives. Always has sounded off my notification, light and vibration without a hitch.
