Voice Command / Reading text messages

Hey guys,

My phone will not read the text messages out loud even when the voice command settings are where they should be. Any ideas ?

EDiT: got it. I swear things on this phone get checked by themselves sometimes.

my tp2 (sprint) reads them out loud only when the texts are 1) urgent and 2) bluetooth is on and connected to my headset
