Is there any way to get the classic word completion cab to display more than one word as a suggestion?

Yes, use advanced configuration tool. uninstall it after you finish changing the number of suggested words or -as of ver. 3.3 you will have trouble answering calls.

with any reg editor go to: HKCU\ControlPanel\Sip\ click on "SuggWords" and change to the # your looking for. soft-reset and you should be good to go
