Max Recipients (SMS)

Did some searching but wasn't able to find a solution. Sorry if I missed it.

I am getting a new phone # and need to update everyone in my address book with my new number. Probably have over 200 contacts to send a message to. I needed to know, what is the maximum number of recipients you can text? NRG has the BsB tweaks cooked into his rom and I saw the option to increase this to 50 recipients. I was just wondering if anyone knows of any network restrictions that would not allow more than a certain number of recipients and if there is any way to increase the max recipients over 50. Either with a program or registry tweak.

Using Sprint BTW.

look into PowerSMS; dont think they have a limit...

I tried starting asking the same question a while back with no answers. (Here is my thread http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=1436645).

I used bsb tweaks and it works, but I'd like to know what the registry entry is.

Well, I changed the key posted in the thread you referenced above to 300 and now in the HTC Messaging app, it says "Limited to 300 recipients". Now if all 300 go through is unknown and I doubt I'll be able to verify it unless all 300 people respond to me. I guess I'll give it a try.

(hklm\software\jataayu\messaging\maxrecipients change 10 to 300)

But without the link you provided, I wouldn't have even gotten this far. Thanks WhiteBlazer!

i know alot of ppl dont use or like to use advanced config but it has a setting to make more then 50 .. if it works or not beats the crap outta me .. id rather just do a reg edit myself this way i can reverse it & feel comfortable knowing i can change it back & make things normal
