Subway/Metro App?

Looking for a subway metro app specifically for DC but could be for any subway in the world.

I'm investigating METRO but wouldn't mind hearing some more ideas.
Since the DC Metro has a easy map vs. this app which seems to be more text, icon based.

Try hopstop. i always use their website and this is supposed to be the same for mobile.

If I zoom in too far in google maps with subways turned on at NYC it becomes unresponsive.
