Microsoft Myphone...

I used to have a touch and had the myphone software backing everything up and now I just got my touchpro2, and installed myphone on there too with the same account. It restored all the contacts from the old phone but it also restored most of the texts from my old phone and mixed in between the new texts i received on the tp2.
So I was wondering how I can delete the old texts and keep the new one on the tp2?
thanks

Re: Microsoft Myphone...

You could try to go to the Microsoft MyPhone portal/address on your PC and remove the text messages not wanted there and then sync your phone again. It may or may not clear from the phone itself. You could give it a shot.

Re: Microsoft Myphone...

i would just log into myphone.microsoft.com and delete them from there. i'm thinking that'll be the easiest way for you.

damn he beat me to it. but to build off of what he said, your myphone account will have all the old messages as well as the new ones. you could try deleting all the old ones on the account leaving the new ones in there, then wipe all messages off your tp2 and run a sync with myphone. there's a possiblity it could just wipe all messages from your account though once it sees your phone has been cleared.

Hi, go here and you can take full control of your online My Phone account!

http://myphone.microsoft.com/mkweb/S...r=go2831150914

Just choose which messages you want to delete. The process is preety self-explanatory.

Tap on just that part of the text and it will highlight it, then hit menu and delete.

Is there a way to select multiple messages?

Yeah, tap menu, select messages, several. Then just tap the ones you want.

Thanks but now I have a new problem, last night Myphone automatically synced and deleted two people threded text convos from wm native text program but I can access it through the TouchFlo threaded text screen like from the home screen when i double tap the last text message it brings up the threded version but those messages disappeard from the native wm text app. So is there anyway to get them back where there were
I think I shiould stop using MyPhone...
