TP2 phone only turns off but PDA is on

Hi,

This is wierd and I have seen this happen a couple of times. When I try to call someone, the phone says something like "The phone is turned off. Do you want to turn it on again?"

This is the only time that I can tell that the phone dosent work. It is hard to tell if the phone is shut off unless I call someone. All incoming calls go to voicemail. I was not able to check to see if the status indicator had any different icons.

I have not done a hard reset due to the fact that I would have to reinstall everything again. I havent purchased spb backup or sprite backup so I would have to start from scratch.

Did anyone have this kind of problem and how did you fix it.

Thanks

Form the Home screen, scroll to settings. Press Wireless Controls. There is a switch that says 'Phone'. If it is off, your phone is off. If it says on, your phone is on. Press the switch to change between on and off.

Re: TP2 phone only turns off but PDA is on

When my phone is in "airplane mode" (phone and data are off), the icons for EV(Sprint data) and Signal Strength have little x marks under them.

This kept happening to me when I first got my phone, but I realized that the End key was preset to "Turn Airplaine Mode on/off" when held down. Apparently I am really good at pressing that button when the phone is in my pocket!

To change that setting, from the home screen scroll to Settings click All Settings at the bottom and then click on Personal, then Buttons. The buttons that can be configured are tabs at the bottom of the screen.
