Copying Protected Rom Files
 

What program do people use to copy protected rom files? I have tried TC, resco, and sktools. None will copy a dll I am trying to get from the windows directory.

what file is it?
if its a module it wont copy.

bcmsddhd.dll. I think it is the wifi dll. Is this a module? I guess I don't understand the term

hi, no idea if it will work for that file but i thought i read somewhere that you need to rename the file first (recommended adding .bak to the end) then copying that file. when you reboot or whatever the reall .dll will be back and you can delete the .bak then.

So I tried ROM Extractor to get the dll from the phone. One problem is that the extracted file is a different size than the one on the phone. What would cause this?
