activesync with google
 

i am trying to sync my calendar with google, except i am following the instructions on google and it is not working.

here are my settings
id: user@googlemail.com
password: XXXXXXX
server: m.google.com

any one else have this issue?

Have you tried using "@gmail.com" instead?

Make sure you only check email, calendar, and contacts. Google Sync does not allow text messages or tasks, even though they show as options on the phone. With ActiveSync, if an unsupported option is checked, the entire sync fails.

i have tried @gmail.com. it still doest not work.

should my email address be : user@gmail.com?
and my id be the same as well?

i have unchecked everything else, I only wanted my contacts synced.

this thread really helped me, follow the instructions to the letter and it should work for ya.

except i wouldnt do the @googlemail.com like it says, just do @gmail.com

yes your user id and email will be the same.

why only contacts???
