Completely and effectively disable Today screen?
 

I found out that I can change the registry in 'HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Today' to turn off the Today screen, but its not very effective. Whenever I close a software the phone still go back to what's used to be the Today screen, which is now shown as a frozen screenshot of what I was previously doing. Is there a way to make the phone go back to the Start Menu instead?

Basically what I want to do is start in the Start Menu all the times, and not have any Sense nor Today screen.

disable end button to go back in home screen.. then get used to using start menu hardware key.. then map task manager to any hardware key. disable tf3d to save ram.. at least that's what i do.. hehe

Just use SPB Mobile Shell. It replaces the today screen. You can put whatever apps you want on your new "main" screen. Not exactly the same thing as starting from your start menu, but same result.

How about using Easy Today Launcher (forum.xda-developers.XXX/showthread.php?t=540158 Still too new to post Links) and turning off everything else. Yes you would have to setup Easy today Launcher with the apps you wanted to, but that is essentially the way I have mine setup...
