Can Not Change Softkey New Rom - HELP?
 

Was able to change the Left and Right softkey In HTC Sence

But after updating to the new t-mobile rom It refuses to change.

\HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila change value of each key (LSK for Left Soft Key, RSK for Right Soft Key)

HomeLSKArguments - Argugement of application you'll be calling
HomeLSKPath - Path to program with in "" i.e. "\Program
HomeLSKText - text of the button.
HomeRSKArguments
HomeRSKPath
HomeRSKText

What I am trying to do is change the right soft key to the windows contacts
Not the HTC contacts its defaults to

The TEXT Changes JUST FINE !

But Still runs the HTC ALL contacts

Now if I close Manila and use the windows home screen it works just fine. Restart Touch Flow .. and it uses HTC Weird.

HELP ?

think this is a known issue with the stock HTC ROM's supplied to the carriers.

Try using advanced config or HD Tweak...and see if that helps at all

yeap tried it .. nope still locked .. old t-mobile rom let me change it as well aswell as the wwe htc ver ..

this new "leaked" T-mobile Rom Dont seem to wana let me http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

tried windows\poutlook.exe for HomeRSKPath with contacts for HomeRSKArguments

and

The only thing ive accomplished was changing the LSK to Contacts and it was the 'older' WinMo contacts you (and I) want to use. However, if you go to Programs -> All Programs -> Contacts, its the same older one also. Long way around i know... :(

the version of NRG I'm running won't allow me to change this either.

I used SoftKey Manager which has always worked perfectly for me in the past. It changed the text on the button to what I wanted, but the button stopped working (when I clicked on it, nothing happened)

I saw some other people posting with the same issue, but nobody knew how to fix the problem......
