how sturdy is the touch pro 2?

well im trying to make the decision on whether or not to get it

I realized i am a huge clutz when it comes to phones, I have a snap thats survived almost 15 crashes which makes me think positively of htcs build quality but when I had a diamond it was the complete opposite

Wrap it with a Body Glove and that will give you a little "cushion" for those ooops situations.

Re: how sturdy is the touch pro 2?

Anything with a full slide-out keyboard is going to be less durable than a device without (TP2 vs. Imagio, for instance).

That said, I like the overall feel of the TP2 way better than the TP1 generation. I really didn't like the feel of the plastics in that particular generation of HTC phones. The slider on the original Touch Pro always felt a lille wonky to me, too.

Then again, I dont think either the Imagio, ot TP2 are as duragble overall as the HD with it's Gorilla Glass capasative touch screen. You could run the HD without a screen protector pretty easily and not worry about scuffs and scratched to the screen.

Then again, drop ant of them hard enough... and they'll break. None of them are indestructible.

My friend has dropped his on several occasions (construction) onto concrete and it is still working fine with no side effects.

Re: how sturdy is the touch pro 2?

Yep, depends an awful lot on how they hit the ground and type of surface.Mine seems solid, yet I haven't dropped it yet(carpet once). If your a klutz then no phone is safe. Body armor it with something. I can totally see the tp2 flying apart if it hits the cement hard enough. YMMV

Re: how sturdy is the touch pro 2?

Mine survived a five foot drop facedown onto my concrete driveway and then it slid into some snow. It only had some scratches on the screen protector but other than that, its fine. I don't know how many more of those drops it would last through though...

There are several "protection" options....but I think for you a 8 in. leash would be your best option, stop abusing your phones! Don't make me call PetPPC (People for the Ethical treatment of PPC's) ROFL

I have dropped mine a few times now onto hard surfaces and other than battery jumping out, no problem
