Telenav "cradle was not found" QuickGPS

Hello again Group

After upgrading the Vzn TP2 to 6.5, my Telenav comes up with a "cradle was not found" popup when it connects to QuickGPS.

Closing the popup lets Telenav launch successfully.

My other GPS program doesn't come up with any error at all

A Google Search shows this may happen if you have ActiveSync running at the same time as Telenav. But the phone isn't connected to my desktop by either USB or Bluetooth.

Any ideas or help from anyone would be appreciated

Re: Telenav "cradle was not found" QuickGPS

Looks like no replies on this Let me add some more notes, maybe that will help

1) A hard reset doesn't make a difference, I still get the same error

2) Because the Telenav site doesn't have a cab for a Verizon TP2, I'm going to ota.telenav.com and browsing to Sprint/HTC and using the versions on there. They're for Windows Mobile, and they do have a version specifically listed for the rhodium. They did work without any problems when I had 6.1 on the phone.

3) I've tried versions 5.5.18, 5.5.23, and 5.5.24. All have the same problem.

Because other users have had this problem in other 6.5 ROMS when the QuickGPS option of "Auto Download when connected to PC via ActiveSync" is set (mine isn't), I'm guessing that somehow Telenav on 6.5 believes ActiveSync is connected when it really isn't.

If there are any Sprint users out there running 6.5 and Telenav (instead of Sprint Nav) I'd like to see if they get the same issue.

I may try a hard reset and JUST install Telenav on the device to see if that makes a difference. But since that won't really fix anything, just "prove" that the conflict really does exist somehow between TeleNav and ActiveSync, and because the problem is really just an annoyance and can be bypassed, I'm not sure when I'll get to it (dont want to go through the PITA of re-setting up the phone unless I have to)

Any help/information anyone has would be appreciated.

Thanks to all who help.

Re: Telenav "cradle was not found" QuickGPS

I'm not convinced the new version of QuickGPS will resolve the issue. Whilst it is no longer producing the error message, it is no longer automatically downloading on ActiveSync even though the option is checked. Maybe it will only download a new version nearer to expiry, so I will wait for 7 days before condemning it. It certainly isn't as easy on the eye as the old version!
