messaging window on top of today screen

Hello Group

Sometimes when I wake my phone up, the title bar of my messaging window is on top of my today screen. If I hit the X button it goes away, but if I dont all my today screen items dont work. Im guessing this has to do with the phone trying to launch the email window while its asleep during a scheduled email check, but why is it trying to bring up the email screen instead of doing it in the background?

Thanks to all who help

Re: messaging window on top of today screen

Well... screen shot is kind of hard since if I launch an app to get a screen print the message goes away. I could take a pic from another phone or camera to send it

But picture this

You pick up your phone and wake it up
Your today screen is there, and looks fine... except that instead of "start" in the taskbar, it says "Messaging", and instead of your task icon on the right, you have your Cancel-X. And you also notice your clock is several hours off, and not updating

You hit the X and the screen all goes back to normal

Ok, for clarification; does the screen you see look like the attached?

Well, no, since that screen is the account chooser

I mean its the actual phone's today screen with "messaging" in the taskbar instead of start, and an X instead of the task icon. It's as if the phone tried to launch messaging, got as far as creating the title bar, and stopped

Re: messaging window on top of today screen

OK.. here's an image (crappy, I know, sorry) from a coworkers (ptooey ptooey ptoooey) iPhone. In case you can't read it, it says "Messaging" on the top.

Re: messaging window on top of today screen

Glad you were able to capture it when it was on your screen. Sorry, but I have never come across this situation either during normal usage or trying to replicate it on my phone this morning....the only time I can get the "Messaging" to appear on the taskbar is on the account chooser screen...very odd indeed.

Re: messaging window on top of today screen

Looks like someone else here has a simillar problem (couldnt find it before because of the vaugue title). But I don't have any of the apps on my phone that he lists, so it can't be that.
