Default IE Browser Error(s)

I've recently flashed to 6.5 and I am experiencing a problem with accessing the default IE browser via the Internet tab in TF3D.

When the IE browser starts up, it lands on a blank page with "http //home" in the address bar. If I click on the Home Page option, it then correctly loads the my specified Home Page.

Worse, when I installed Opera 10 Beta, it automatically became the default browser and I received an error message stating, "Could not open file. You tried to access the address file //localhost/home which is currently unavailable. Please make sure that the Web address (URL) is correctly spelled and punctuated, then try reloading this page"

Has anyone experienced these problems and have discovered a fix? Again, these errors appear ONLY when I access the browser via the Internet tab.

Re: Default IE Browser Error(s)

All I did was flash the rom to 6.5...previously, Opera was my default (as it standardly is or VZW stock ROM)....after the flash, the new mobile IE was the default (which looks pretty slick) but it initially opens to the the blank page described above. Am I the only one who has experienced this?

Re: Default IE Browser Error(s)

So you didn't use the official 6.5 from Verizon. Because I flashed that and the default is still Opera. What ROM?

Re: Default IE Browser Error(s)

I am having the same issue..I have access to the web but not from the internet tab. I tried making opera my default browser and still experienced the same prob. The other thing is when you open the keyboard and hit fn and the left ward arrow you get a error OperaL cannot be opend. bad certificate or component is missing. I reinstalled the stock rom and had no problem with either function. I flashed again and the problem persits. I'm a noob I need all the help I can get..I've been trying to fix this for a couple days now. thanks
