Help, I am no longer able to sync!

I have searched and couldn't find this issue previously, sorry if it has been brought up before.

I have been syncing my phone to my computer for the past few months but now when I plug in my phone WMDC doesn't recognize it as attached but my phone will charge.

I reset my phone in hopes of fixing the problem and then I removed WMDC and my phone is now showing up as an unknown USB device. I am able to transfer files via the SD card but I haven't been able to get the bluetooth to connect to my computer.

have you tryd this

go to settings>all settings>connections>usb to pc then youll see some check boxes then the second one says underneath ENABLE FASTER DATA SYNCHRONIZATION (clear this check box if activesynce does not recognize the device) if its checked then uncheck it or if its not checked then check it then press OK to take effect

I have tried using both settings. No fix.

i got a thread too but my problem was with XP ....i am getting a refurb phone..i tried everything...i was able to sync via bluetooth but never usb (on 3 computers)
