HTC TP2 with Beats by dr dre ControlTalk

Hi, I just bought the Monster's Beats by Dr Dre Headphones Solo which comes with the ControlTalk cable. Basically the ControlTalk cable makes you be able to change song, volume, etc. I noticed that when I press a button, it makes me call the last person that I called. Is there a way to change the TP2's driver and make it change music instead??

i have those exact same headphones but i have the studio style and they do not come with a cord to change the song. The ones i have are not designed to change the song or skip tracks but it does have the feature to answer and receive calls and like you said redial but they are not designed to change the track. I havent heard of a reg edit or even know if its possible but maybe someone can answer if this is possible.

Just got the klipsch image s4i, sound great but mic doesn't even work. I don't care about the volume or other features, but can anyone confirm that the mic does indeed work on the Dr Dre Beats tour?

I didn't try the mic yet but like i said, the control is working i think we only need to change something in the registry to make it do what we want. My friend tried the mic with an ipod and it worked flawlessly.

From my experience with 3.5mm headsets, if they have volume controls it usually means the mic won't work with the TP2. If it only has the call/answer button then it will work. Basically headsets designed for the original iphone/iphone 3g will work with the tp2 but the ones designed for the iphone 3gs will NOT work. That being said, I know with the headsets that work with iphone/iphone 3g the button doesn't forward/reverse tracks but it DOES pause/play the manila music player.

I was just making a general observation with 3.5mm headsets. I have a blackberry 3.5mm stereo headset, and I am using MightyROM 1/13 release. When I use the manila music player the button plays/pauses the music. A long press of the button activates voice command. A double tap opens the phone app and calls the last number dialed. If I have the dialer open one press calls the last number dials or hangs up if in a call.

I am guessing the headphones you bought were designed for the iphone 3gs, therefore has volume control buttons and probably won't work for the tp2 at all (mic probably doesnt work, and other functionality is probably crippled).

Like I said before if the control has volume buttons it probably means no good for TP2. (seems like stuff will only work if there is just 1 button)

Kind of off subject here, but are these headphones worth the cost to purchase?
I've been interested in these for awhile

IMO, they are definatly worth the purchase, i bought them for 150$ during boxing day (its like black friday of the us) The bass is very rich you can hear so much more with them than regular headphones. Sometime the bass can be too loud just change the EQ.

Anybody got it working yet?
