G Profile and Magicall- is this overkill

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for the question but I did a search on here and read the earlier threads but didn't see anything pertaining to this combo.

I'm currently running G Profile which works well most of the time (i get the crash message sometimes) but I like having the phone go into the proper mode at the correct times (silent when I'm asleep, vibrate while at work etc) and block calls except from certain people. The problem is that I'm still getting calls from "Unknown" and "Private" callers which get through while everyone else gets blocked properly.

I've noticed that a lot of people really like Magicall and swear by it to block those callers. I checked out the website and really liked how it handled the callers and the options it gives you in dealing with those types of calls.

My question is can you use G Profile to set up a certain profile (work, sleep, charge) etc, have G Profile accept all calls and then have Magicall itself filter those calls properly? I hope that isn't confusing.

I tried SPB Phone Suite on my 6800 running 6.1 and it didn't do too well as it required numerous resets on the initial install and would sometimes hang the device on a soft-reset.

Any thoughts or suggestions as to what I should when it comes to this type of set-up between G Profile and Magicall?

Thanks for your advice.

Re: G Profile and Magicall- is this overkill

MagiCall is a very powerfull program with so many feature, and it will "block" or do what ever you want when setting up the rules.

I have MagiCall and it does block "unknown/private" call, I set up a rule to "pick and drop" when "unknown/private" so when they call the phone will of course pick and drop and will not even ring, also this option will not let the other party leave a voicemail since the phone answered and hungup. I love this option

Give the trial version a try...you will like it...it is worth every penny...

You can also set modes or rules...like mute..etc...I have mine set to mute SMS from 2200 to 0800 M-F.
