3.5mm jack question

I was wondering if the verizon touch pro 2 has support for a mic through the 3.5mm jack because, my iphone headphones work but the mic doesnt work. The play/pause button works only to call the last dialed number.

Re: 3.5mm jack question

I'm using a 3rd party iPhone headset with my VZW TP2, and the mic works fine. The button on mine activates voice control. However, I found that if you do a soft reset with the headset plugged in, the microphone will stop working. Try resetting without the headset, maybe that will help?

Re: 3.5mm jack question

the button works and when i go to voice recorder and during a phonecall no sound goes through. The mic works fine on my ipod touch. Do you think that my headphone jack is faulty

Re: 3.5mm jack question

Did you try doing a soft-reset without the headphones plugged in?
Is auto volume control enabled?

Re: 3.5mm jack question

Also check to see if the headphone plug has 3 rings around it . If not that is the problem.

Re: 3.5mm jack question

I also use a set of "for iphone" (seinheisser brand) with my Touch pro 2 and it works.. I often have callers complain that they cant hear me well but that probably has to do with the headset themselves not the general compatiblity of iphone headphones with the TP2..

Im curious if the new 3gs headphones work.. anybody try them out? do the volume keys work?

Re: 3.5mm jack question

Having the same issue using the triple fi 10 headphone. One press is speaker, and double click calls the last dialed number.

Re: 3.5mm jack question

Yes, I tried the soft reset suggestion, and yes auto volume is on, also these are the actual stock apple headphones that ship with the iPhone and the newer iPod touches. They work on my iphone , and on my ipod touch but the mic doesn't work on my tp2

Re: 3.5mm jack question

The answer is in the design, the Black Berry headphones do work with mic.
