Wrong Device ID When Configuring Tom Tom

i downloaded the Tom Tom Navigator 7 torrent and it came with the read me file. i've followed every step to a tee but when i'm executing the command prompt it keeps telling me i have the wrong device id. can someone help me because i've tried it so many times and double and triple checked my device id but it keep giving me that stupid error.

pez

these are the instructions if anyone wants to know:

1. Copy TT_Nav_7.450.9028_repack3-qvga-black.cab or TT_Nav_7.450.9028_repack3-qvga-blue.cab or TT_Nav_7.450.9028_repack3-vga-black.cab onto your PDA and Install It.
2. Copy North_America_720.1803 and voices to the root directory of your SD Card
3. Launch Tomtom and proceed through the setup instructions and select the North_America map when prompted.

************************************************** ************************************
-- If the screen gives you the option to manually activate, go to 3A
-- if the screen says "Invalid map activation" and or "voucher" option, go to 3B

3A. Choose manual activation. Write down the manual activation code "XXXXX XXXXX" This is your device ID. Go to Step 4

3B. Shut down TomTom on the PDA and on your storage card, you'll find a file named "ttnavigator.bif". Copy this file to your PC and open it with Notepad, you'll see DeviceUniqueID=XXXXXXXXX about the 5th line from the top. Go to Step 4
************************************************** ************************************

4. Copy North_America-13.meta from your PDA's North_America_720.1803 folder into the tt7-stuff folder on your PC
5. Open a command prompt (run->cmd) and navigate to tt7-stuff

6. In the command prompt type:
tt7_keygen.exe "path to *.meta file" "DEVICEID" (NO SPACES IN THE DEVICE ID!)
Example: tt7_keygen.exe "C:\tt7-stuff" "XXXXXXXXXX"
If successful it should say "OK" and create USA_and_Canada-14.meta.dct inside tt7-stuff folder on your PC.

7.Now copy North_America-13.meta and North_America-13.meta.dct from tt7-stuff on your PC into North_America_720.1803 folder on your PDA overwriting existing files.

8. Run TomTom 7 and Select the North_America map. You should be good to go.

Re: Wrong Device ID When Configuring Tom Tom

after you put all the files on your sd card you have to run tom tom its going to say your id is wrong what you do next is hook up your phone again to your computer and find the ttnavigator.bif file on your sd card, open that with notepad then look for the DeviceUniqueID number thats your phone id

not sure if this can really be discussed here. there are other ppc warez forums that this should be discussed at.
