Re: text messages from the future Y2KX issue

I'm having this issue too. Sprint, Norman, OK, Mightyrom 12/30. Last night they were saying 1/1/16, and now they're just saying 1/1, except for my outgoing texts which say the time.

Wow, so many affected devices?!? Maybe we should only investigate those that DO NOT experience this issue, see what might be different from the others.

Re: text messages from the future Y2KX issue

It's sounding more likely that it's an SMS gateway issue since we have identical phones/ROMs on the same network with some showing the problem and some not.

Yes, but I also went to settings and turned off touchflo and then went to messages through today screen and my messages stay the same, all they say is "today" then give a time. No 2016 date. Also they seem to be threading right because I have been messaging people and they are not out of order.

Any thoughts?
Go into your Settings--All Settings--Phone--Tab (CDMA Services) and look for Time Synchronization--Get Settings ---Uncheck the box...then try changing the date again....

I highly doubt its the phone because your date and time on your home screen are correct....this is a server side issue coming from Sprint or Verizon Wireless, depending on which carrier your with.

You might have to ask on xda for that. Most of the T-Mobile and AT&T users are over on xda. It's mostly CDMA over here...
