BlueTooth Hang-Up or Disconnect Problem

I just replaced my Sprint Touch Pro with a Sprint Touch Pro 2. Obviously I am very pleased. The only serious problem is my two Bluetooth audio connections do not hang up when requested. The dialing is fine and audio is OK. I was using a Motorola T305 (car speakerphone) and a Motorola H700 (normal single ear headset). They both worked great with the Touch Pro, but with the Touch Pro 2 I am unable to hang up or disconnect the phone call using the BT speakerphone or the BT headset. The only “work around” is press the end call on the phone. Pressing the button on the speakerphone or headset for a short or a long time no longer works on the T305 or the H700 for hanging up. The buttons works for placing the call. Does anyone have any suggestions or a good work around?

Re: BlueTooth Hang-Up or Disconnect Problem

do a search and you will see that this is a common complaint ... BUT there is a solution: flash one of the newer ROM's (mightyrom for example) which is based on the US Cellular 6.5 ROM and the Bluetooth will work AWESOMELY!!!!

You could also build a ROM with Calkulin's Kitchen if you want more choice as to what goes in the ROM.

Re: BlueTooth Hang-Up or Disconnect Problem

I am unable to use a kitchen ROM. I am required to use the Sprint supplied firmware for business reasons. I am allowed to add cab files or additional software that will allow me to return to Sprint firmware within a hour without requiring a pc or laptop to reflash. A hard reset is OK, but new firmware is not acceptable at this time. Does anyone have a software or regedit patch that will temporarily fix this problem until Sprint gets a new firmware package out? Does anyone have an ETA for Sprint releasing their version of WM6.5? Thanks!

Re: BlueTooth Hang-Up or Disconnect Problem

You can probably fix it. See my signature.
But if you are not allowed to hard reset just in case some experiment goes wrong you may get yourself in a pickle.

Re: BlueTooth Hang-Up or Disconnect Problem

There is the Windows Mobile 6.5 update "supposedly" coming in January or so, which will be an official update, so hopefully it will be fixed in the update.

if you don't want to flash a custom rom then you will have to wait till sprint releases their update. all the work arounds are patches and don't work 100%. The only way to fix the problem is to install a custom rom with the updated bluetooth fix.
