Verizon Visual Voicemail Problems

Hi! New to the forum and loving it already!

I recently upgraded from a Moto Q to the HTC Touch Pro 2. Really liking it EXCEPT I receive the error message "No network connection is available to contact the voicemail server. Please make sure you are in an area with good signal reception and try again" whenever I receive a voice mail message.

I've been on the phone with Verizon four times to resolve this in the past two weeks. They've not yet come up with a reason or solution, although we've done two hard resets and switched out phones, yet still the same problem.

I can access the internet, get mail, all no problem.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Same here. I tried the MightyRom upgrade and it was fine with that. Then tried the SSS Rom and it is not working with that one. I was using the latest version of VMM.12.9.

Re: Verizon Visual Voicemail Problems

Welcome ti the forum!

I'm on EnergyROM 28011 Dec 31 using VVM 1.1.11.65 with no problems. What version are you using? I have a cab file for the version I'm using, but when you get a voicemail, it sends you a random text instead of opening VVM. This happens when installing as a cab (not sure why). Other than that, it works fine.

Question Re: Verizon Visual Voicemail Problems

Thanks, Blaze, for the greetings! As mentioned, I am currently using the 12.9 version of VMM. The SSS ROM is r2. I made the change to have verizon MMS work but still no luck. I do get a text also when I receive a VM so I thought that MMS fix would solve it, but it didn't. Odd that it worked with the MightyRom upgrade without a problem. There was the option w/ Mighty to specify the carrier provisioning so I don't know if that had anything to do with it. Any advice is appreciated. Maybe I should try version VVM 11.65 instead?

I've been having the same issue and noticed that if you downgrade to 11.65 then you still have the problem... but if you install 11.65 after a hard reset then it will at least not have that connection problem..

still haven't figured out how to get the latest versions to work including 12.9 which I see is out now too...
