Mogul screen keeps coming on.

The screen on my Sprint / HTC Mogul keeps coming on after it has shut off automatically. I'm sure this is killing my battery (which is sucking). Any suggestions / ideas?

The apps currently running are the default email client (hitting imap every 5 minutes) and StopWatch.

Update: I killed all running apps, it did it again, and I verified there were still no running apps. But it wasn't locked.

Update 2: It did it again While Locked.

just make sure your screen is locked, and make sure the device is set to turn off after 1 minute. mine does it sometimes. the 6700 did it like crazy.

go to your settings and in Today, uncheck the timout every 4 hours box. that had something to do with it on the 6700.

It's still doing it, with the today timeout disabled, screen locked, and all apps killed.

Thought this was due to the signal strength in your area. If you loose the signal and get it again the screen goes of and on or something like that.

yup.
Usually happens when switching networks (in and out of roaming).
At my office there is a weak Sprint signal, and it would do it all the time there, but in my house I get 3-4 bars, and the screen stays off.
My solution has been to put it into "roam only" when in my office. Then, it stays roaming, and the light never comes on!

With me, it happens when the signal goes from EVDO to 1x. Never fails.

But I don't feel like forcing roaming on my phone just so it doesn't turn the screen on...
